 HOW TO APPLY TO BE A MEMBER OF NIGERIAN EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL {NEPC}

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council {NEPC} is a government agency charged with the responsibility of promoting locally made goods and commodities, produced in Nigeria, outside the country.

NEPC is also responsible for the registration of new entrants into the exporting business. The major duty of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council is to give you a license as an exporter. But, if you can have a cordial relationship with someone within their organization or some group of people, they could assist you in getting buyers, sourcing for any products, etc. You could easily contact them to make any inquiry.

Having the NEPC certificate makes you a license buyer.

When going to purchase the form, you can go ahead with your rubber stamp or company seal, so that you can fill the form and submit the same day you have collected it.

 

Requirement For NEPC 

  • You ought to have a limited liability company or a registered co-operative body.
  • There registration/application form can be obtained at any of their offices for #1,000.

When returning their duly completed form, asides your personal details, you will be asked to bring along the following.

  • Copy of certificate of incorporation/Evidence of registration{co-operative society}
  • Memorandum of association

 

The processing of your registration takes a maximum of one week and a processing cost #10,000

HOW TO GET NAFDAC REGISTRATION BY JOINING ASSOCIATION OF MICRO-ENTERPRENEUR OF NIGERIA {AMEN}.

Perishable products are not allowed through NIPOST because it takes from five to seven working days before the products get to the UK and U.S respectively.

But you can send perishable items by air because it takes only 8 hours to get there. It is important to send the foodstuff to an individual because if you use a company address, you may need to answer few questions. You can also engage the services of reputable courier companies like DHL, UPS, TNT, RED STAR etc.
